Taylor Kliebhan (she/her/hers)
Taylor is a second-year doctoral student in the Virginia Consortium Ph.D. Program in Clinical Psychology. Taylor previously earned a M.S. in Counseling Psychology and worked as a psychotherapist before returning to school to pursue further training in research and teaching. Taylor’s research interests focus on biological and genetic constructs associated with trauma and adversity, and how these factors may influence physical, physiological and psychological outcomes following trauma exposure. In addition to this, she is interested in examining PTSD and psychiatric comorbidities, specifically disordered eating behaviors.
Christopher Latourrette (he/him/hims)
Christopher Latourrette is a current student in the Virginia Consortium Ph.D. program in Clinical Psychology. Christopher obtained his Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Virginia Commonwealth University. Subsequently, he began a post-baccalaureate position at the Virginia Institute for Psychiatric and Behavioral Genetics under the supervision of Dr. Kaitlin Bountress. Christopher’s current research interests include civilian trauma and investigating the relationship between post-traumatic stress disorder and comorbid substance use and abuse. Christopher aspires to further develop his research skills and continue in the field of clinical research following his graduation.
Morgan Templeton (she/her/hers)
Morgan is a graduate student in the MS in Clinical Mental Health Counseling program at ODU and is expecting to graduate in August 2025. After graduation, she plans to earn a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a concentration in trauma. She aspires to research the efficacy of different therapeutic modalities to treat complex PTSD. Morgan currently works as a mental health counselor at a psychiatric facility and as a substitute teacher. In her free time, Morgan enjoys traveling, spending time with friends, and going on walks.
Lauren Smith (she/her/hers)
Niya Richardson (she/her/hers)
Niya is a graduate student in the MS Clinical Psychology program at Regent University. She hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology, where she will utilize her professional development to provide explanations of psychopathologies from a psychological, emotional, and physiological standpoint, along with theories for the sustainment of well-being. Niya is currently working in the Hawn lab to gain further experience in the field and exposure to the comorbidities associated with trauma. Outside her studies, she enjoys reading, boxing, and exploring the outdoors with her dog, Zola.
