Stem 231 Materials/Processes Technology
In STEM 231, I worked on basic technological processes including: welding, casting, woodworking, and metal bending. Throughout the course I had to demonstrate the abilities I learned in class in a semester long project. The project was a stepping stool that included the ideas of woodworking and welding. The wood was used for the main platform of the stepping stool, while the welding was used in developing a metal frame to help support the stepping stool.
Stem 221 Industrial Materials
In STEM 221, I learned basic and professional uses for industrial materials like: clay, sand, latex, and concrete. Throughout the course I had to demonstrate the knowledge I obtained in class in a semester long project. The project was a money bank made from a slip casting and a latex mold. I was able to learn multiple ways on how to deal with certain situations.
Stem 320 Manufacturing/Construction
In STEM 320, I learn how to work in a team on a manufacturing/construction project. Throughout the course I was a part of a work group developing and constructing toys for children at CHKD. My main position was developing pieces and drilling holes before sending parts to the construction portion of the project. The file attached shows what work I performed in the project.
