After reading the ‘Framework for Improving Critical Infrastructure Cybersecurity,’ I believe organizations can gain several benefits from using this framework. We live in a world where nearly everything is controlled by technology. Therefore, you could never be too secure. Organizations can utilize this framework to identify opportunities for new security programs, revise the company’s standards and guidelines to address current needs, or take the opportunity to establish a cybersecurity program by using this framework as a reference. Having a strong cybersecurity foundation, such as this framework, could potentially save an organization millions of dollars. I would utilize this framework at my future workplace by collaborating with my team to assess cybersecurity risks, help identify potential security threats, and work together to prepare a response plan.
