Awards and Recognitions

As a student-athlete at Nyack College, I was honored as the Most Valuable Player during the 2009–2010 CACC Women’s Basketball Championship. This recognition reflected not only my athletic performance but also my strategic thinking, resilience, and ability to lead under pressure. I engaged with the CACC through competitive play, team leadership, and consistent sportsmanship across the season. My role as MVP required balancing academic rigor with athletic discipline, a skill set that continues to inform my approach to high-stakes environments in cybersecurity and administrative operations.

This award demonstrates my ability to perform under pressure, collaborate across diverse teams, and maintain strategic focus, critical traits for cybersecurity roles that involve incident response, compliance, and organizational coordination.

The Harold Bowman Character Award is given to one graduating student each year who exemplifies integrity, leadership, and service. I was selected in 2010 for my contributions to campus life, mentorship of peers, and commitment to ethical decision-making. My engagement included serving as a peer advisor, facilitating student workshops, and advocating for inclusive practices in academic and social settings. This award recognized my ability to lead with empathy and uphold values that foster trust, qualities I now apply to cybersecurity policy development and organizational culture analysis.

This recognition affirms my dedication to ethical leadership and human-centered problem-solving, which are foundational to cybersecurity governance, behavioral risk analysis, and trust-building across technical teams.

In 2025, I was named Academic-Based DSP of the Year for my work supporting individuals with disabilities in vocational and educational settings. This award acknowledged my ability to translate complex behavioral and academic data into actionable support plans, advocate for clients, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams. I was selected for my excellence in documentation, client-centered planning, and ethical service delivery.

This award highlights my strengths in data synthesis, compliance, and human factors, all of which directly support my transition into cybersecurity roles focused on risk management, accessibility, and policy enforcement.
