The evolution and growth of using digital DNA raises a huge concern for many. Although the use of digital DNA could be helpful for medical research purposes, it can also be a focus for cybercriminals to hack your information. Although genetic information is stored in a secure databased, that sensitive information could easily be hacked and sold to the dark web. It is important to read thoroughly through privacy consent and agreements before agreeing to share your DNA or any personal information with a third party.

I understand data breaches for financial gain are currently happening.
