Do any of you remember the saying “I know what I want to be when I grow up”? …… I certainly do. Now whether or not that childhood dream is still a reality is completely up to you, but if you find that you have lost any sense of direction towards what you want to accomplish in your life, this post is definitely meant for you.
When it comes to finding your passion my motto is simply “don’t think, just do it”. Passion comes directly from your heart, it’s the first thing you think about when you wake up and the last thing you think about when you go to sleep. ‘Passion’ is like love, its always there but sometimes you have to go looking for it. In order to ensure that your passion is meant for you, you need to fully engage in every aspect of what you aspire to do, to make sure that it actually fits your purpose.
According to an article written on Oprah Winfrey’s website, there are 4 ways to find what you are passionate about:
- Love everything you do
- Look at your book collection, magazines, DVDs, CDs and credit card statements. Notice any themes?
- What do you spend the most time, energy and money on?
- What do you love to talk about, learn about and/or teach others about?
- Quit talking and start doing
