Student Spotlight: Ciara White

My name is Ciara White and I am originally from Richmond, Virginia. I graduated from James Madison University in 2018 with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Family Studies. Currently, I am a second year graduate student here at ODU earning my M.S.Ed in Mental Health Counseling with a strong interest in multicultural counseling, expected to graduate in August 2020. Through this program, I will be interning at Pembroke 6, a mental health and substance abuse facility in Virginia Beach. In CHIP, I am the graduate assistant for Academic Readiness in the Learning Center where I assist pre-college and college students to help them succeed academically and personally. I have a strong passion for working with people of all ages to help them accomplish their goals, discover new things and explore new ideas. As a first generation college student, I understand the struggles that many students may have so I am always happy to share my experiences and help out in any way that I can!
