The semester has start, you got your goals set and ready to tackle the semester. You got all of your classes together, laid out you assignments and started talking to your professors. That’s great and you are on a roll. BUT you realize it is cold, really cold. Students of ODU, we have to prepare for Winter’s Cold before you actually get a cold, let alone a flu. Here are a few ways to stay warm and avoid getting Winter’s Cold.
During this time period, the days feels shorting, the wind feels more furriest and our noises just keep dripping. Here are a couple tips to nt become sick and end up missing classes.
- Layer Up- When stepping outside, we must layer up. Having something to cover you neck is a great way to avoid he cold. Having a warm clothing under a big coat can be annoying sometimes, but in classrooms the temperatures in most buildings are trying to adjust to the weather as well. So stay tight and bundle up.
- Sanitation – Stay as clean as possible. Being on campus, someone in your class, in the hallway, in the bathroom or even you roommates will get sometime of sickness. The best thing for you to do is to stay clean. Meaning, washing you hands multiple times, even when you do have too, avoid touching you face and always keep hand sanitize your person at all time.
- Staying healthy – We have to fight of gems that are just floating around. I know its cold outside, but working out and drinking PLENTY of water will help you immune system fight off a lout of bacterial that’s trying to get you sick. Again DRINK PLENTY of water. Another way to stay healthy is to eat a lot of fruits and veggies. These just give your body a better chance of fighting the flu.
- Extra measure – A couple other ways to stay way from Winter’s Cold are to get your flu shot annually, if you can. And simple enough stay away from those who are sick. Gems would be spreading just by touching others. So stay away from every those who are sick.
Just be to be clear, here are just a couple ways to stay away from Winter’s Cold: Layer up (staying warm and briefing for the cold), Staying clean and sanitized as much as possible ) and get as healthy as possible (make your immune system strong). Let’s have a great semester ODU students!
