Spring Cleaning: It’s Time to Simplify and Reorganize

During this insane time when our schedules have been flipped upside down you may feel that things are out of your control. Well I have a solution for you: organizing your space and/or belongings. When I’m stressed out, or need to clear my mind, I find the best way to do this is to take control of my surroundings. Here is a guide on how to do some spring cleaning and decluttering.

  1. Make a schedule for yourself so you can plan something for each day to go through. This will help keep you on track, and it gives you something to do everyday.
  2. Once you have a schedule start by organizing each individual room/section and break things up into groups of “keep”, “donate”, or “trash” (we all have that one place we keep empty water bottles). This step can also include any big rearranging of furniture or how you organize your items.
  3. After you have organized your items, and separated them, now is when the cleaning can begin.
  4. Start with the big things first (vacuuming, sweeping, counters, etc.) to get them out of the way. This will make the smaller/tedious tasks easier to get through if you know the big areas are clean.
  5. Now that cleaning is done, you can make small adjustments, and relax 🙂

Hopefully this can help to keep some of you all busy, and ease your minds with one less thing to have on your plate while working through these new adjustments!
