Are you ready to graduate? Here’s a checklist to help you prepare!
- Apply for graduation. If you are graduating in the Spring, May 2021, the recommended deadline to apply for graduation was November 30, 2020. Graduating in another semester? Click here to find your recommended application deadlines.
- Complete your senior assessment. This survey, which will be sent to you via email, needs to be completed in order to graduate. For more information about this survey or to request a survey invitation, click here.
- Check Degree Works to make sure you’re on track to graduate! To confirm, schedule an appointment with your academic advisor.
- Order your cap and gown. If you plan on being part of the graduation ceremony, know the deadline for ordering your academic regalia. For more information on how to order, click here.
- Earn medals to wear at your graduation ceremony through the LeADERS program and/or Leadership Lecture Series. Complete at least 3 LeADERS-designated courses in your degree program or complete a minimum of 3 sessions from the Leadership Lecture Series.
- RSVP for the Firs-Gen Ceremony. If you are a first-generation student, be on the lookout for an email about a Firs-Gen Ceremony and pin.
- Prepare for graduate school. If you plan on going to graduate school, be mindful of application deadlines and whether or not you have to take the GRE or another form of assessment. See the right side of ODU’s Graduate School webpage to explore the graduate programs offered by ODU.
