Communication is KEY!!!

One of the best ways for us to interact with other humans or animals is communicating, it could be verbal or non-verbal. As young adults, it’s important that we communicate effectively whether it may be to your boss, your parents, or even your friends. It is important to be able to speak about what you need or what you like and don’t like. At younger ages in life we may have not learned how to effectively communicate but now is the time to learn especially as we move into job positions and work with others.  There are a lot of things that go into effectively communicating and there are a lot of things holding us back.  It may not seem important, but non-verbal communication, for example, your hand gestures and body language is equally important in a conversation.

When I’m trying to communicate with someone,  I try to make sure that I am respectful, direct, and capable of telling whoever I’m speaking to what I need. It may be hard accepting to hear information that you don’t agree with but I always try to remember to keep my composure and allow the person to express what they need to say. In my eyes, being respectful in a conversation is the most important part and that includes how you deliver, your tone, body language, and more. My biggest tip is to remember to speak to people how you’d want to speak to them to speak to you.

Having said this, here is an article to help us become better communicators :
