Core Observations

For my core observations, I chose to observe a Driver Education and Calculus class. In the Drivers Education course, I observed Mr. Kirkman. He went over the dangers of the road and how to avoid them. I felt it would be beneficial to observe a Drivers Education class because I may teach one, one day. I was told Ms. Griffin would be a good teacher to observe next. She taught Calculus and was reviewing derivatives. She worked through problems while the class followed along, then tried solving on their own. What I had taken away from both teachers was that you should be able to relate to your students. They will work and respect you more, rather than drilling them with instruction and become unfocused and bored.
