Special Issue on ‘Complex Systems Governance Issues and Applications’

Researchers with NCSOSE have published as a second special issue on ‘Complex Systems Governance‘. This second special issue is edited by NCSOSE Director, Dr. Charles Keating and Dr. Vernon Ireland of the Entrepreneurship, Commercialization and Innovation Centre at the University of Adelaide (Adelaide, South Australia). In the accompanying editorial, Keating and Ireland note that the first special issue (see here) emphasized the exploration of multiple foundational perspectives for the emerging field. In contrast, the current special issue is an elaboration of the foundations set by that first special issue. The emphasis of this special issue is directed to exploration of issues and applications for CSG. This present issue presents a natural evolution and progression of the CSG field by laying the groundwork upon which further advances can be undertaken. The groundwork continues as an integrated effort to ultimately influence the practice of CSG and provide support for practitioners who are charged with governance of modern complex systems.

The special issue and its editorial can be accessed at the International Journal of System of Systems Engineering (2016, Vol. 7 Nos. 1/2/3).
