Social Media is a massive place where you will meet all sorts of characters. I think the most prominent place where people show there true colors on social media would be on sports feeds. Sports fans can be very influenced by their teams and they can show a lot of emotion through words on a screen. I think one of the most common things you see is fans raving about a player on their team. And if you actually look through peoples post you can see how bipolar they are at times.
This user went from asking for Lukas to be traded to saying he is on the team for his entire career. I think what this social media persona shows is that you cant take people too seriously on social media, especially when it comes to sports. Fans in sports over exaggerate easily and can come to conclusions that are based upon all feeling and very little fact. What a lot of people don’t realize is how fans like this could affect young players if they are paying enough attention. Normally, players ignore people on social media for instances exactly like this.
