This semester in COMM462 has been an eventful and informative time. I have learned so much in my time this term and have acquired new and improved skills that I can take with me in my professional future. Whether it was assignments like blogposts or just the lecture itself I was always learning something new. I think the Pen Pal assignment was especially unique. It was a project like I have never done before, so I was a little nervous when I first started it. But, as the term went on I not only formed a connection for my future but also a mentor and acquaintance. Another project that taught me a lot was the NIL White Paper, which, I think along with the whole class, scared the hell out of me when you introduced it. But coinciding with the Pen Pal, it turned out that I had what it took to do this assignment, along with the help of my groupmates. I learned a lot on what it takes to research such a big project, something I will probably have to do again in my future career. Another useful skill was navigating and creating a WordPress page. Besides from the actual skills and information I learned in this class, I’ve also came to the belief that whatever comes my way in my future, I will be able to overcome it. Overall, I really enjoyed this class and our professor who made it fun and interesting the whole time.
