The PaCK lab recently attended the 2026 APA conference, where undergraduate research assistant Madeleine Salazar Acosta and third-year graduate student Jewelian Fairchild presented a poster, “Exploring Empathy as a Moderator in Parenting Styles Across Generations.” Undergraduate research assistant Juliana Spencer and fourth-year graduate student Paige Munshell presented a poster titled “Attributions and Emotion Regulation: Effects on Child Behavior Problems.” Paige also presented a poster titled “Frustration Tolerance to Observed Parenting: A Moderated Mediation Analysis, for which she received the Division 37 2026 Student Poster Award in recognition for an outstanding poster.

Third year graduate student delivered two presentations at the 2026 International Society for Research on Aggression! Her presentations were titled “Intimate partner violence and psychological and physical parent-child aggression: Cross-lagged analysis comparing mothers and fathers” and “Intergenerational transmission of child abuse risk: cognitive mediators in a multigenerational study.”

Third year graduate student Jewelian Fairchild recently attended the 2026 New Hampshire Violence Prevention Conference, where she delivered two presentations: “Early parenting stress and later abuse risk: Dyadic analysis of mediation by maternal and paternal negative attributions,” and “Intergenerational Transmission of At-Risk Parenting across the Transition to Parenthood: A Person-Centered, Multi-Generational Study.”
