Cell death induction for tumor and tissue ablation by nsEP

nsEP are a promising new therapeutic modality for tissue ablation and solid tumors destruction. We have revealed multiple physical and physiological mechanisms and pathways that determine cell survival. We also studied how different parameters of nsEP treatment (e.g., voltage, duration, pulse repetition rate, absorbed dose) determine the cytotoxic efficiency the type of programmed cell death. We uncovered the phenomenon of electrosensitization, which enables profound reduction of effective treatment dose.
