One leadership skill opportunity I gained through the MPH program included being the treasurer of the public health student association. The skills I learned included public speaking and effectively communicating. Working as a treasurer impacted my learning by helping me gain confidence.
My second leadership skill opportunity included working as a graduate research assistant. Skills learned were critical thinking and research skills. Working as a graduate assistant helped me become a better researcher.
Lastly, the third leadership skill I obtained includes working on group projects and taking the lead role. Skills learned provided leadership skills, teaching skills, and teamwork. Working on a group project and obtaining the lead role helped me become more of a leader who helps guide people to success.
