The ODU Tick Research Team is a collaboration between four different labs at ODU. We study host-vector-pathogen systems from a broad range of perspectives. Faculty members have research backgrounds in microbial genetics, population genetics, mathematical ecology, epidemiology, invasion biology and community ecology.
Our lab participates in several university research programs designed to engage graduate and undergraduate researchers in authentic research experiences that prepare them for future biology careers. We also participate in outreach activities throughout the Hampton Roads area to help keep our communities informed.
