Overview

The Old Dominion University Center for Global Health is a center located at 4608 Hampton Boulevard Suite 3008, Norfolk Virginia 23529. It was established in 2012 and it focuses on research, service-learning and more to improve health care quality for people locally and internationally. The Center for Global Health has engaged in many programs locally and internationally to help provide initiatives on how to combat health problems. In addition, the mission statement is to positively impact health through collaborations among faculty, students, communities, and other partners.
Furthermore, the vision is to improve people’s health and quality of life on a local and global basis by leveraging Hampton Roads. While the goal of the center is to help improve people’s health and quality of life. In addition, my preceptor for the internship is Dr. MyNgoc Nguyen, and she is the program manager for the center. In all, the site is a good place for me and it provides many opportunities as well to help increase my knowledge in the field.
