2024 Agenda

The MSV Student Capstone Conference is celebrating year 17!

The MSV Student Capstone Conference features undergraduate and graduate student applied research in modeling and simulation disciplines across diverse ODU department, programs, other colleges and universities!

Students submit research papers (either 2-page extended abstract or up to 12 pages) from any of the 7 Conference Paper Tracks: Transportation, Business & Industry, General Sciences & Engineering, Education & Training, Virtual Environments & Visualization, Infrastructure Security & Military, Health Care, and AI and Autonomous Systems. Papers are reviewed and provided feedback by research and faculty track chairs from ODU and VMASC.

Students create a conference presentation highlighting research from their paper submission.

On the day of the in-person conference, students present their research to an audience of fellow students, faculty, judges, and other distinguished guests. For the students, these presentations afford them the opportunity to impart their innovative research to members of the M&S community from academic, industry, and government backgrounds.
