For the LeADERS entrepreneurship course, I decided to enroll in CYSE 494, Entrepreneurship In Cybersecurity during the fall of 2024.
During this course I was tasked with analyzing my leadership philosophy, creating a detailed business plan, learning entrepreneurial skills, and how the advancement of technology has led to a business’s success or failure.
With this course I learned the how to balance dreams and the realistic expectations of a business. In addition, I learned the importance of creating a detailed business plan, which maps out the required materials, costs, marketing strategies, and goals. I was able to connect weekly with my peers on their thoughts on topics like Social innovation impacts on business, the entrepreneurial mindset and process, and the legal and ethical logistics in entrepreneurship. At the end of the term, I was able to evaluate my growth, and I found a number of ways I had grown. I realized the logistics of owning my own business, learning leadership and critical thinking skills, and expanding my knowledge towards entrepreneurs and their journey to success, or failure. I am really happy I chose this course because as I grow older I could be able to open my own business using my cybersecurity and entrepreneurship skills.
These are some of the things I completed during the course:
CriticalAnalysisofBusinessFalureThis is a critical Analysis I did on business failures, reflecting on Netscape Communications.
Business-PlanThis is my business plan of how I plan to change the world with my boutique.
Self-EvalThis was my final assignment where I created a self evaluation on myself to explore what I learned, my challenges, and how I plan to continue moving forward.
