Span 102

Reflection

At the beginning of this semester, I felt more comfident in my ability to try and learn Spanish than I did at the beginning of Spanish 101. We started with talking about our families, to sports, then food, health, and finally about carrers. There was a project attached to each topic and two oral conversations with native speaking people, each with the purpose to be more proficcient in the language. We had conversations in the classroom too to help practice and learn the language. As the semester went on, the materrial got a little harder as we began to learn about how the verbs end depending on if you’re talking in past tense or present.

An example of interactive learning would be Contresena where we had to listen to a sentence and we needed to answer a question based on what we heard.

An example of reading we did in this class would again come from the Contrasena where we would read about the experiances and lives of people in Spanish speaking countries.

Chapter 9, we learned about health and hoe health care works in spanish speaking countries.

Intercultural Communication

This semester, we were asked to have two conversations with people whome Spanish was their native language. In those two conversations, we discussed our families and learned about the other and then we talked about food and ways that we try to stay in shape and stay healthy.
