6 WEEKS: Crunch Time

As reality begins to hit and the semester seems to be dragging on, some people may notice that their winter blues are carrying over into the spring. At this point and time you may be noticing that you are trying your absolute hardest to stay focused and pull together any last minute grades that may be slipping through the cracks, but you just can’t seem to break even. No need to stress, 6 weeks may seem like a short period of time but if you step back and look at things logistically, you have ample amount of time to bring your grades up to a desirable percent. You can begin to put these things in action by

1. analyzing how many more exams you have left. Once you have figured out the remainder you need to set a personal goal for yourself to achieve a specific percent on the following exams.

2. After setting a percentile goal, it would be vital that you begin to plan times where you will actually study for the class and the exams. At this point in the semester whatever academic goals you set for yourself, you should try to stick to them strictly in order to ensure your personal success.

3. Once you have figured out steps 1 & 2, you have to hold yourself accountable. Do not be afraid to go to office hours even if you haven’t been all semester, don’t be afraid to collaborate with classmates and lastly do not be afraid to reward yourself. If you studied for 1 1/2 hr, you can reward yourself with a 15 min break of your choice.

4. Lastly, if you feel like these steps won’t provide you with the results you like, don’t forget that the last day to withdraw from classes is April 2nd.
