Hi My name is Maddox Jack, I am a student athlete at Old Dominion University as I play baseball here. Personally I have been passionate about sports for as long as I can remember. Growing up I always played basketball and baseball. After a while baseball ended up becoming my main sport and that lit the passion in baseball and becoming a pitcher. Once I reached high school is when I started connecting with coaches all over and cool d1 schools. Ended up making my decision my sophomore year of high school to play here due to the atmosphere and strong relationship with the pitching coach as well the new stadium that is currently being finished. Baseball has shaped me both physically and mentally into who I am. Playing baseball also allows me to make so many connections on and off the field which could help later throughout business. My ultimate idea is to play baseball as long as I possibly can. Baseball has given me so much. Once my playing days are over I plan to stay in sports industry and my goal is to get into sports agency. Where I can help athlete’s and navigate them throughout their careers. This blog was created for my sports communication class and this site is a great opportunity to get to know who I am.
