For this assignment I wanted to really show my life and centered around my student athlete life and the development and process that goes with it. Especially the preparation. Rather than just posting random and different baseball stuff I wanted each post to tell a story and have a background to tell about the athlete that I am and what I value.
My first post was from my first college outing Saturday February 21. This was my first outing since 2023 so it was very special for me. It symbolizes more than just me on the mound. It represents development, perseverance, and the labor that goes on behind the scenes. I wanted to demonstrate my resiliency and dedication to long-term progress rather than short-term outcomes by sharing that moment of success.
The second post shows the weight-room. I choose this because this is just a major key in the process. Im in the weight room all time because the performance comes before game day. he weight room is posted to highlight the fact that preparation and constant work are the foundation of success on the mound. It serves as a reminder that my identity as an athlete is based on my daily routine and dedication.
The video of the bullpen is another post to add to my persona. Bullpens are more about developing mechanics, gaining confidence, and building command than they are about highlight-reel speed. Including this content shows my love for development and deliberate practice. It reflects the idea that progress is a process rather than a single act.
Lastly the nutrition post shows the recovery aspect side. As a student athlete eating enough food and fueling my body is part of the preparation. Training does not stop from the field or weight room. What I eat directly can affect my recovery and performance.
Over my social media persona reflects my life as a student athlete and where my mind is. It shows discipline, preparation and preparation. I want my online presence to show that I am very serious about improving and competing at the highest level. Each post was to be shown as my journey as a baseball player.
