Inclusive Library Spaces

Libraries should be accessible to all members of a community, but can often contain barriers that may make it difficult for children with disabilities to participate in classes, programs, or even book selection. The following short presentation promotes strategies for building more inclusive library spaces. Although this presentation was prepared for Henrico County public libraries, the same strategies are applicable for creating inclusive school library spaces. I’ve highlighted those applications in the video walkthrough.
