There were a lot of different choices I had drawn up in my head when I first heard about this project. All the different cool people I could get as my pen pal. What I did not encompass was how hard the task of getting in contact with some people can be. First of all if you want a professional sport players email or expect them to answer on twitter, don’t. I looked forever for players emails or phone numbers and nothing, also no responses on twitter or Instagram. That is when I decided to go to a more plausible option, which is one of the hosts of my favorite sports podcast CHGO. I got in contact with Mario Tirabassi, one of three host of the CHGO Blackhawks podcast. When I messaged Mario on X (Twitter), I did not expect a quick response. But, less than 3 hours later I got an agreement. As long as I send him more details he would be happy to help. This is a cool opportunity for me because of the fact that I am a fan of the podcast and also this could be a career path for me down the future. That is what I like most about this project, the opportunities it gives you to make connections in the sport world.
