Skills

This page showcases the artifacts I have mentioned in my IDS493 reflection essay. There are 3 artifacts for each skill I have gained while I have studied cybersoperations at Old Dominion University. Most of the artifacts showcase some projects and labs I have completed at ODU, but there are a couple of personal projects I have also shown.

Technical skills

Technical skills in Cyber Operations are very important. Skills such as analyzing network traffic with Wireshark, knowing how to go through the different steps of ethical hacking, and learning how to set up an Oracle server virtual machine are all very helpful.

Artifact 1:  CS 466 – Lab 1 IoT Network Analysis

Artifact 2: CYSE 301 – Assignment #4 Ethical Hacking

Artifact 3:  Oracle Virtual Machine

Problem Solving

It is very important to be able to identify and fix issues. I have trained this skill throughout my time at ODU and with small personal projects.

Artifact 1: My Personal Computer

Artifact 2: ECE 346 Final Project

Artifact 3: CYSE 425W  Paper One – Policy to Include Cybersecurity into the Standards of Learning

Adaptability and Continuous Learning

Being able to constantly adapt and learn new things is very important, especially when it comes to cybersecurity-related fields. Cyber attacks are constantly evolving, so it is very important to keep up to date and learn about new attacks that are being created.

Artifact 1:  Computer Languages – ECE 241: Lab 4 – VHDL

Artifact 2: History of Cyber Attacks

Artifact 3: Cybersecurity Ethics – Course Reflective Paper
