End of the Semester Reflection

From the beginning of the semester my study habits have grown a lot. Unfortunately, I learned that studying was really important the hard way, which was when I realized some of my grades had started to drop. I started taking school more seriously and picking my grades back up. My expectations for this year were completely different. I expected to have more time on my hands when it came to spreading the work out for my classes to get certain assignments done for certain classes but I found myself having to do work for all my classes at the same time with due dates being so close together. My experiences did not meet my expectations which is okay because I learned that in college you really have to manage your time when it comes to your work and really taking the time to understand the material you’re learning in order to be successful, which next semester I will take into great consideration. Something I wish I knew 14 weeks ago would be to know some valuable tips on how to manage many assignments at once. In the beginning of the semester I probably studied not very much, maybe about 2 hours a week. Now I spend at least 5-7 hours a week studying for my classes. My study habits have changed, I find myself taking it a lot more seriously than before. I have used library to help me stay focused on completing my work versus being in my room and being distracted Study habits i will use next semester is to utilize tutoring more. I noticed how during some of my classes numerous topics were being mentioned in most of my classes that connected all of the material together. The art event with Ted Ellis was most beneficial to me because it helped me realize that wellness is more impotent than I had thought.
