Artifact 1: Password cracking using wireshark
I was tasked with creating and cracking passwords in a controlled setting for my Cybersecurity Techniques and Operations (CYSE 301) course. I had to come up with three usernames and passwords for the environment, each of which had to be of varying strength. After that, I had to crack the passwords using the rockyou.txt program, which is also known as John The Ripper. Additionally, this project shows me how to use Meterpreter to crack password hashes, analyze decrypted packets in Wireshark, and decrypt WEP and WPA2 wireless data.
Artifact 2: Monitoring and Sniffing Network Traffic
I had to use Wireshark to monitor network traffic in order to identify specific packet queries and to pose as an attacker in order to obtain someone’s login credentials for my Cyber Techniques and Operation (CYSE 301) course. I successfully sniffed out a username and password, stole files, and displayed packet queries from the primary source and destination IP addresses while using Wireshark.
Artifact 3: Ethical Hacking
I finished an ethical hacking homework for my CYSE 301 curriculum that required me to evaluate possible security threats and find weaknesses in a controlled lab setting. I examined network systems, found vulnerabilities, and recorded suggested fixes using industry-standard tools and penetration testing methods. My technical abilities in vulnerability assessment, problem-solving, and using cybersecurity concepts to safeguard organizational systems were enhanced by this project.
Skill 2: Pattern Recognition
Artifact 1: Job ad analysis
I examined several cybersecurity job advertisements from various businesses as part of my IDS 493 project in order to find common requirements, technical proficiencies, and professional expectations. To have a better understanding of the expectations of the sector today, I analyzed recurring requirements including certifications, programming expertise, network security experience, and communication abilities. This work improved my analytical skills and enabled me to assess how my technological expertise and academic background fit with cybersecurity employment options.
Artifacts 2: Vulnerability Scanning Report
I finished a vulnerability scanning report for my web development internship at Old Dominion University in order to assess the security of online applications and related network infrastructure. I found potential vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, and exposed services that could present security threats using tools like Nmap and OWASP ZAP. My ability to identify security trends, evaluate scan results, and suggest remediation techniques to enhance the development environment’s overall security has improved as a consequence of this experience.

Artifact 3: writing scripts and commands
I created scripts and carried out command-line operations for my Linux command assignment in order to manage files, automate system activities, and keep an eye on system performance. I wrote scripts to automate tasks like file organization, permission management, and system diagnostics using programs like Bash and common Linux commands. My command-line skills, problem-solving ability, and comprehension of automation in Linux-based settings were all improved by this job.
Skill 3: Communication
Artifact 1: Customer Services
Working in the electronics department at Walmart strengthened my communication skills by requiring me to interact with customers, answer technical product questions, and provide clear recommendations based on their needs. I regularly communicated with team members and management to coordinate inventory updates, product availability, and daily operational tasks to ensure efficient customer service. This experience helped me develop professional communication, active listening, and the ability to explain technical information in a clear and customer-friendly manner.

Artifact 2: Resident Assistant
As a Desk Receptions at Old Dominion University, I deal with a variety of circumstances and assignments. Managing disagreements and crisis situations is a major aspect of my work as a Desk Receptions . In order to effectively manage a problem and adhere to the university’s policies for Desk Receptions, I must respond to it right away by remaining composed, vigilant, and analytical. After that, managing disagreement requires me to think rapidly on my feet, communicate with all parties, find a solution, and report it. I have demonstrated my problem-solving, communication, and crisis-management abilities in this role as Desk Receptions.
Artifact 3: Esports gaming code switch
I took engaged in team-based competitive gaming activities that involved coordination, strategy planning, and real-time communication as part of my involvement with the esports game Code Switch at Old Dominion University. In a fast-paced digital environment, I collaborated closely with coworkers to examine gameplay patterns, modify tactics, and enhance overall performance. My capacity for teamwork, flexibility, and effective communication under duress in a competitive environment were all enhanced by this experience.
