Compare cybersecurity risks in the U.S. and other countries.

Cybersecurity is the practice of protecting computers, servers, networks, mobile devices, and the data stored in these devices from cyber attacks. In addition, cybersecurity is very necessary in today’s technological world. Due to the growth in technology, the cybersecurity field has begun growing fast over the past few years and millions of jobs have begun opening all around the world. Due to the rise in technological advancements, cybercrime is on the rise as well because there are so many opportunities for hacking, thefts, and other illegal activities that happen online. In this journal, we are focusing on the ways that governments around the world as addressing cybercriminals and how they are keeping citizens safe. During the covid 19 pandemic, the world saw a huge increase in online businesses and online shopping. This opened windows for many cybercriminals to hack into systems and access data to use maliciously. According to the GCI index top ten most committed countries in the cybersecurity field are 1) UK, 2) USA, 3) France, 4) Lithuania, 5) Estonia, 6) Singapore, 7) Spain, 8) Malaysia, 9) Norway, 10) Canada. The United States government has done a great job of planning to prepare for these attacks. They also have many different recovery plans such as the PPD 41 to counterattack cybercriminals. Finally, they do a good job trying to prevent further attacks by spreading awareness to U.S citizens via media outlets and classes to teach others how to protect their own information. Other nations like Israel are just behind the USA when it comes to securing public and private infrastructures. The recently passed “Cyber Security Law” increases awareness among the Chinese on national security, protects cyberspace sovereignty, and protects the legal rights and interests of their citizens. As technology evolves, new ways are being used by attackers to steal our data.
