Travel:
Norfolk International Airport (ORF) is located within Norfolk itself, 9 miles/15 km from Old Dominion University. Taxi transportation is easily available. Groups can book shuttles with James River Transportation for a $30 fixed rate. James River Transportation offers accessible shuttles.

ORF is an international airport, but is not an air transportation hub, and most attendees will have to use connections through Newark, Chicago, Atlanta, Charlotte, or so on. Those wishing to vacation before or after the conference, perhaps particularly those traveling internationally, can take advantage of cheap one-way flights to destinations all along the East Coast through Southwest, or Amtrak trains which regularly travel between Norfolk and Washington D.C., Baltimore, Philadelphia, and New York. (Note though that US trains are slow and irregular so they are an option for those vacationing, but not necessarily a good utilitarian choice for simply getting to Norfolk.)

Accommodations:
We have negotiated block of rooms at a conference rate of $124/night at The SpringHill Suites ODU, which is directly across the street from campus. On-campus student residential housing is also available at $45/night. There are many additional hotel options downtown, but they may not be desirable for all attendees, since they will require a rental car or taxi for travel to the conference venue.

The SpringHill Suites Norfolk Old Dominion is at the edge of campus, and a .4 mile/650m walk from the Webb University Center, where conference sessions will take place. The conference rate of $124/night is available until 4/28 for nights from 5/27 to 5/30. Reservations at our group rate may be made through this link.

On-campus housing is available at $45/night for single rooms with linens, in shared suites. Rooms are air conditioned. On-campus housing will be available from 5/26 to 6/1 for those wishing to arrive in Norfolk before the conference or stay after. Registration for on-campus housing is available through this link.
