CYSE 608 – Windows System for Cybersecurity

CYSE 608 covers the fundamental steps of installing and managing a Windows Server. This course guides the initial setup and basic configuration of a Windows Server, focusing heavily on using Windows Admin Center as an effective management tool. Other tools used in the course include PowerShell, Active Directory, Windows Firewall, and user/group policy management. The assignments throughout this course involved researching the functions and implications of different Windows Server Management tools while also applying the concepts directly in virtual lab environments. These labs encompass server administration, implementation, and management of key technologies such as Group Policy and Network Policy Server. Configuring and maintaining Domain Name System (DNS) and Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP). Server maintenance, disk management, firewall administration, IP addressing and subnetting, network configuration, and troubleshooting. Finally, set up and use Remote Desktop Services, remote administration, and user access. Ultimately, this course provided a fundamental understanding of Windows Server administration processes.

Below are several labs that I completed throught the course that showcase the apllication of Windows Server Administration concepts. These labs include screenshots of the tasks being preformed with brief explanations of the task completed.
