I recently received the following information about internships with the campaign to elect Steve Heretick to the Virginia House of Delegates:

Apply to be an intern with Democrat Steve Heretick’s campaign!

The Steve Heretick for Delegate campaign is currently seeking interns who want to learn the basics of campaign management.

Stephen E. “Steve” Heretick represents the 79th District in the Virginia House of Delegates. The district includes parts of the Cities of Norfolk, Portsmouth, and Chesapeake. Steve is a progressive Democrat who works across the aisle and is a state leader in supporting independent non-partisan redistricting reform and critical criminal justice reforms.

Interns will be asked to commit a minimum of 5-10 hours a week and will:

• Work directly with the candidate to communicate our message to voters
• Organize in the community and work alongside staff and grassroots leaders
• Develop fundraising skills through donor research and event planning

You’re perfect for this internship if you are:

• Politically active or eager to get active
• Comfortable meeting and talking to new people
• Motivated and eager to make a difference in your community
