For my agency evaluation, I chose the Marine Corps Exceptional Family Member Program (EFMP) at Camp Pendleton, California. The EFMP provides resources and services for enrolled families of special needs military dependents. Enrollment is mandatory for all active duty dependents with a qualifying diagnosis. This agency handles medical, intellectual, and mental health diagnoses of active duty Marines. The EFMP is staffed by one director, five to seven caseworkers, one outreach specialist and one administrative assistant. The Camp Pendleton EFMP currently roughly serves 2,500 dependents, with numbers fluctuating on a weekly basis.

My program evaluation focused on the quality and availability of support and resources for children with mental health diagnoses. I conducted an evaluation on to determine whether families are receiving reliable resources tailored for their child’s needs.
