Cheyenne Goodman

My name is Cheyenne Goodman, and I am a junior at Old Dominion University. My major is Biology with a concentration in Marine Sciences. I started working as a Lab Technician in the Phytoplankton Analysis Laboratory at ODU in August 2021. As a lab technician, I identify harmful algae bloom species, prepare samples for analysis, and wash glassware. This opportunity has allowed me to work with my peers as well as gain actual laboratory experience. I have developed better work ethics through the phytoplankton analysis laboratory.

My goal is to go to graduate school at the University of The Virgin Islands, where I can study population ecology, specifically the effects of pollution on different aquatic ecosystems. I also have a small business where I make and sell jewelry.
