My name is Sofia Reyes-Villanueva, I am currently a freshman in University at ODU. I was born in Taumalipas, Mexico and moved to the United States when I was 7 years old, when I moved to Guam for 3 years.
I graduated from Booker T. Washington earlier than supposed to and became class of 2024 instead of 2025. While growing up I went to different schools since I come from a Military family. Therefore I went to school in Mexico, Connecticut, Guam, Texas, and here in Virginia. I have been in honors ever since middle school and have won small awards while in elementary. During High/Middle school I was involved in Color-guard and was part of my high school’s volleyball team.

I am currently majoring in Computer Science, reason for choosing my major is because I’ve always been interested in computers and their systems, along with there not being too many woman in the field, so I wanted to play a role increasing that number.
I tend to be very organized and keep everything noted down and add reminders for things. One of my strong suits would be research and I tend to work better with hands-on work. Getting a job as a software developer, researching AI, or be a pen-tester would be a dream for me.
