A cybersecurity analyst has to work well with human interaction, such as teamwork and communication. Protecting a database isn’t just one person’s job, it’s multiple people, therefore a job analyst needs to have great leadership skills, and communication skills to be able to pinpoint exactly what they want, and how to protect the data the correct way. Another reason is to be able to analyze and talk thoroughly about all the vulnerabilities and how to prevent them. Social engineering is another theme, data analysts need to try and understand how other people or attackers think, and what they do to carry out their attacks. On their side, they need to understand how certain people may react to attacks like phishing since it can be very misleading. An analyst’s job also requires them to be able to tell the difference between right and wrong based on cyberlaw and ethics. Adaptability is another good trait that analysts need, being able to stay informed and responsive to emerging trends and risks, along with perchance needing to change course in the progress of defending against a real time attack. While cybersecurity does mean it is the protection against a data base and the main defense is using computers and servers, social behaviors play a big role in how everything is handles and carried out.
