Among the initial resource that were presented to us in the first meeting of this project was the availability of an RC benchmark testing kit for drone propellers and motors. this test equipment would allow us to test different motor and propeller configurations, allowing us to find the most suitable configurations for our drone. however, given that his test is bench mounted, we would be interacting with this test equipment in the open. having large propellers spinning at high speeds with nothing but air and spatial awareness standing in the way of us and potential injury. this procured the idea for constructing a safety cage to house our test equipment and add a level of security for us to avoid said injuries. we gathered some dimensions and were informed of a supply of metal square tubing that we could use to construct this cage since the previously used safety net was crudely built at best. this stockpile of tubing was located in “the Cave” a room min the ECSB building that belongs to MAE. we were able to construct the outline of the frame in this meeting.
