I think that the relationship between self-regulation and emotional intelligence goes hand in hand with each other and that they depend on each other for an individual to be successful throughout their lifetime. Emotional Intelligence means to me that an individual is capable to maintain their own emotions in a constructive and non-damaging way. all without compromising another person or another part of the individual’s psyche. An example that I could improve my EQ is to try to stay more positive during hard times because I start off optimistic but it slowly drains over time to the point where I experience no optimism.

This screenshot from an Emotional Intelligence quiz shows that I have a 12% higher emotional intelligence compared to the average person which shows that I am mentally and emotionally ready for future challenges and tasks.
