The case analysis on whistleblowing stood out to me because it was eye opening to what companies are doing behind the scenes. Many we still know nothing about until a whistleblower exposes them for their actions. In this case analysis specifically, I looked at a case study on Edward Snowden in which his goal was to expose the U.S. government for their actions and make them known to the world.
This assignment helped me to gain a better understanding of what whistleblowing entails. I only thought that it was this bad unethical action that people take just to get revenge on the company that fired them. Instead, it is about educating people on what really goes on behind closed doors at these companies that the public should have a right to know. Whistleblowing is the only way to get people’s attention on important issues in the right way. It makes us question how our government operates and looks at what changes need to be made in the future.
