Richard Larson (Ph.D. Program) and Benjamin Beltran Laredo (M.S. Program) will conduct summer internships at NASA Langley focused on composite modeling and characterization. Congratulations!
Congratulations to Rahul Jujjavarapy and Manjukrishnka Suresh for their successful defense of Master’s Thesis. Rahul studied off-axis compressive behavior of ice-templated foams using experimental characterization and computational micromechanics, while Manju explored the benefits of using through-thickness reinforcement of composite sandwich… Continue Reading →
Dr. Kravchenko gave an invited presentation at the 43rd International Conference and Exposition on Advanced Ceramics and Composites. The presentation included the on-going work in the group on Computational Micromechanical Modeling of Compressive Behavior for Freeze-Casted Porous Ceramic.
The student lead seminar on Manufacturing of Advanced Materials completed the first semester of the NSF supported Scholarship in STEM field. Scholarship recipients gave presentations on different topics with focus on manufacturing, characterization and design of advanced materials. The summary… Continue Reading →
