Our lab facilities support the manufacturing, fabrication and characterization of various composite materials. The main instrumentation used in CMM lab is included below. Other equipment for mechanical testing (e.g. 100 kN and 10kN load frames, hardness test, bending-tension fatigue), material characterization (e.g. material polishing, SEM, optical microscopes, ultra highspeed camera), thermo-mechanical characterization (e.g. DSC, DMA, rheometer) are available in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at ODU. Other specific instrumentation can be available through the collaborative research labs.
