The research interests of CMM lab are centered on the following thrust areas:

• Design, processing and characterization of advanced materials and composites with targeted performance in aerospace, automotive, and military applications
• Understanding structure-property relationships of advanced materials and composites
• Process modeling for advanced manufacturing of polymer composite materials
• Compression molding and structure-property behavior of discontinuous fiber reinforced composites
• Advanced composites repair of structural components using through-thickness reinforcement
