Congratulations to Aaron Sinkler for defending his MS Thesis “Characterization of Cure and Temperature Dependent Properties of Filament Wound Composite Structures,” which focuses on building a material input card for process modeling of filament-wound composites. This includes experimental measurement of cure-dependent and temperature-dependent constitutive properties, characterization of filament-wound structure behavior, and evaluation of homogenization strategies for combining these properties. The resulting model was validated using bi-lamina strip experiments to ensure accurate material calibration.
