Course Material
Applying Course Knowledge
- What have you learned in coursework which relates to the world of work?
I had to understand the basic concepts of how a computer works and needed to know how to use a command for switches. I also need to know to use my research experience from past courses to find solutions if a server, switch, laptop and etc don’t work.
Skill Development
- What new skills did you learn during the internship?
- Some skills I have had the chance to develop include operating office or computer equipment; handling a variety of situations simultaneously; organizing and analyzing data, and records, and improving teamwork, writing, and speaking abilities.
- I wish I can show an example of the job but at C2 Management they have a policy that prevents anyone to bring their cell phone into the building.
Personal Development
- How did you benefit personally from the internship experience?
- During my internship, I saw how knowledgeable you need to be if you want to forge ahead in resetting computers, servers, and especially switches. I suggest for anyone who wants to pursue a job in IT apply everywhere, show examples from their past course, and get at least one certificate in the IT world.
- Become familiar with Microsoft 365, group policy, how to add new users, and anything involving system administration.
