School of Supply Chain, Logistics, and Maritime Operations (SSCLMO)

The School of Supply Chain, Logistics, and Maritime Operations (SSCLMO) at Old Dominion University (ODU) coordinates programming related to supply chain, logistics, and maritime topics into one central academic home. The school helps support the Maritime Consortium, which promotes ODU’s maritime resources and supports the workforce and research needs of industries including naval and defense, shipbuilding, and commercial shipping.

History

The school was approved by the ODU Board of Visitors in June 2022, effective October 15, 2022. In July 2024, Dr. Kuntal Bhattacharyya, a business professor at Indiana State University, was selected as the first Director of SSCLMO.
