Engineering and Arts Building
The Engineering and Arts Building, located between Monarch Hall and Batten Arts and Letters, the new state-of-the-art building features three floors of classrooms, staff offices, maker spaces, labs, design studios, and exhibition space.

History
In June 2026, Virginia Governor Abigail D. Spanberger appropriated approximately $250 million for the 140,000 square-foot building. VMDO Architects, as well as Ballinger and Diamond Schmitt, will be responsible for the design of the building, and W.M. Jordan Company will oversee the construction of the building. The groundbreaking ceremony for the building is set to take place in Fall 2027.
