School of Public Health
The School of Public Health is one of the schools at Old Dominion University (ODU). The school is housed at ODU but is a collaboration between ODU, Norfolk State University, and Eastern Virginia Medical School (EVMS). The ONE School of Public Health, as it will be known, offers collaborative degree programs leading to a Master of Public Health and a Ph.D. in Health Services Research. The school is also involved with research addressing public health challenges. The school will offer a Master of Public Health and a Ph.D. in Health Services Research.
Contents
History
The school was proposed in 2022 as part of the merger between ODU and EVMS. Dr. Li-Wu Chen was selected as the founding Dean of the school in November 2022 and began his tenure in March 2023.
